Maewy Succat was the son of a Christian deacon and Roman decurion. Succat was born in Bannavern Taberniae, Scotland, at the end of the fourth century (after Christ), was a religious, missionary and evangelizer in Ireland, considered the introducer of Christianity on the island. At age 16 he was kidnapped by Irish pirates who took him to Ireland and made him a slave. He was like this for six years, until he managed to escape to French lands. There he was ordained a priest, changed his name to Patricius and decided to return to Ireland to preach the gospel.

Although St. Patrick's Day is an Irish holiday over the years, this celebration has spread throughout the world, partly because of the news of immigrants from Ireland. The United States is the second country where St. Patrick is celebrated the most, it is also celebrated in Australia, Italy, England and in Latin American countries, such as Argentina, where the fifth largest Irish colony in the world and Mexico reside.

What began as a religious festival in the 17th century has become a variety of festivals around the world that celebrate Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing and lots of beer, History reported. Also, in many places on this day, people take the opportunity to dress up or wear green.

One of the great icons of Ireland is the three-leaf clover (Irish shamrock), Saint Patrick used the three-leafed green clover to explain to the Irish pagans the existence of the Holy Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In this simple way I managed to make it understood that Father, Son and Holy Spirit can be three different elements in oneself.

Some historians say that this celebration is represented by the color green because it is part of the color of the country's flag, others attribute it to the use of clover, and most of it is known as The Esmeralda Island for its landscapes. In addition, the party is celebrated in the spring.

Wagner wishes you a happy St. Patrick’s Day.
